On October 24th the environmental education activities of the LIFE BACCATA project arrived at CEIP Riaño. Schoolchildren between 3 and 13 years old could learn about the yew tree, woods and the importance of their conservation, as well as the LIFE BACCATA project and the Natura 2000 Network.

On October 17, the environmental education activities of the LIFE BACCATA project arrived at CEIP Ribas del Sil. Schoolchildren between 4 and 12 years old were able to learn about the yew tree, woods and the importance of conserving them, as well as about the LIFE BACCATA project and the Natura 2000 Network.

On October 18, it was the turn of CEIP Santa María de Arbas, in León, to receive the environmental education activities of the LIFE BACCATA project.

Schoolchildren between 4 and 12 years old were able to learn about the yew tree, woods and the importance of conserving them, as well as about the LIFE BACCATA project and the Natura 2000 Network.

The LIFE BACCATA project (LIFE15 NAT/ES/000790), as part of its actions to exchange information with other projects and experiences, held an international workshop in the Peneda-Gerês National Park (Terras de Bouro, Portugal), where the LIFE TAXUS (LIFE12 NAT/PT/000950) project is currently implemented.

The exhibition "Welcome to LIFE BACCATA" continues its journey and arrives at "La Casa del Parque de Babia y Luna", in Riolago de Babia, Parque Natural de Babia y Luna. It can be visited from November 9th to December 9th.
The LIFE BACCATA project reaches the youngest children through the environmental education workshops being held in schools in León. As part of this action to disseminate information about the yew tree and the importance of its conservation, for the first time educational workshops will be given to children in the paediatric units of the hospitals of León y El Bierzo.
The schoolchildren had another day to learn about the LIFE BACCATA project in the form of an environmental education activity aimed at children between 6 and 12 years of age at CEIP La Cortina (Faberas), in León, on November 21.

40 13-year-old schoolchildren and two teachers have participated in the LIFE BACCATA environmental education day. This activity aimed at raising awareness among children about the importance of the yew tree and woods and their importance for biodiversity.
Last November 22nd, another new activity of environmental education of the LIFE BACCATA project took place, this time in the Padre Samiento High School of Villafranca del Bierzo, in León. The aim of this action is to make schoolchildren aware of the importance of yews for our biodiversityas well as their threats and possible conservation measures.
Schoolchildren between 8 and 10 years old from the CEIP San Lorenzo de Brindis (Villafranca del Bierzo) have received an educational action about the LIFE BACCATA project in the form of an environmental education activity last November 22nd.
