IES Padre Sarmiento hosts another environmental activity by the LIFE BACCATA project

Last November 22nd, another new activity of environmental education of the LIFE BACCATA project took place, this time in the Padre Samiento High School of Villafranca del Bierzo, in León. The aim of this action is to make schoolchildren aware of the importance of yews for our biodiversityas well as their threats and possible conservation measures. Moreover, the action aimed at informing children about the project and the Natura 2000 Network.

The day focused on the projection of a video followed by a debate. Then, it followed the activity of guessing to which tree each dry leaf exposed in the classroom belonged. Later, another debate about critical situations for the yew tree was made.
